The belief that “the home” is the safest place for a girl child, hence if she goes out of the home, to school, to work and get raped, hurt and/or killed, it is her fault. Why is anywhere but home unsafe,and why is the girl child targeted? Who are the perpetrators of these crime, and why does the girl child have to carry the blame and shame, whether dead or alive….
